Home Builders Are On The Air!
Bill Ward, Executive Vice President, HBAI
HBAI has taken to the air in April broadcasting its message to the masses that taxing home repair in Illinois is a bad idea. From St. Louis to Chicago, we are being interviewed on 50,000 watt stations by radio personalities who are consistently stunned that Illinois would consider such a measure which would harm home owners and the home building economic sector.
The KMOX Home Improvement Show with Scott Mosby played host to the Home Builders on Saturday morning, April 8th. I was joined with Dave Padgett, President of Greater Southwest Illinois HBA, and with John Courtney of Helitech Basement Waterproofing Company.
Mosby interviewed us for an hour prior to the St. Louis Cardinals game, which also airs on KMOX. Here is a link if you’d like to hear what we were saying about SB09 and our opposition to the Home Repair Tax in the St. Louis & Metro-East market.

On Easter Sunday, HBAI called into WGN Radio for The Sunday Spin, a two-hour weekly program hosted by Chicago Tribune Political Writer, Rick Pearson. The Sunday Spin focuses on local, state, and national politics. Rick and I talked about the Home Repair Tax in a 30 minute segment that ran prior to his interview with J.B. Pritzker, the billionaire and newly announced Democratic Candidate for Governor in Illinois. Below is our link for the Home Repair Tax interview that went out all over the Greater Chicagoland area.
